Currently NutriClean (a division of SCS) has certified our Alfalfa, Clover, Mung Bean, and Broccoli sprouts Organic as specified under the requirements of the USDA National Organic Program (USDA NOP). All of our organic products are segregated from our conventional products from the receiving of the seed to the delivery of the final product.

Our Product Starts With The Highest Quality Seed

As with our Conventional sprouts, our Organic sprouts must abide by FDA regulations of seed disinfection and are soaked for at least 15 minutes in a 20,000 ppm chlorine solution. However, in order to also meet the USDA National Organic Program standards, the rinse water for our Organic seeds must be no greater than 0.4 ppm of residual Chlorine after disinfection. This is the amount that is typically in drinking water. We have developed a process of automatically rinsing our Organic seeds so that the residual chlorine (which we verify daily) is well below than the 0.4 ppm limit, and is often 0.00 ppm.

There are different ways to label a food product as organic depending on the amount of organic ingredients. The USDA National Organic Program has defined four levels that are detailed below
